The Garden Wedding

What could possibly be more romantic than a lovely garden wedding? The bride on her special day, a vision in white, walking down a rose covered path to meet her groom in front of a flower covered arbor. Many brides and grooms want an outside garden wedding. The type and place may vary with the season, but all are beautiful.

The traditional garden wedding is held at the home of the bride, groom or a friend, but there are many other wonderful places to hold your most important ceremony. Some reception halls have beautiful gardens and will decorate for you or allow you to decorate. Many couples are going to exotic places like Hawaii for their weddings. Hawaii abounds in beautiful exotic places with wonderful gardens to hold the wedding. Other couples choose botanical gardens as a spectacular backdrop for their wedding. Another idea is a park with lovely plantings or waterfalls. A National Park is another destination.

No matter what garden you choose the wedding will be wonderful. Fresh air and sunshine (hopefully) will grace your day. Many couples use existing flowers and plants with the addition of ribbons, balloons, butterflies or doves. Decorating benches or a favorite bicycle adds to the surroundings. Use of the garden allows your imagination to flow and helps make your day unique.
